5th Anniversary VIP Ride: 80 Mile Great Allegheny Passage Ride

Ride Details - Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017
 
  • Experience the beautiful Great Allegheny Passage trail from Ohiopyle to Pittsburgh!

  • Riders’ gear will be loaded on to coach buses at the Heinz Field Quay.  Check-in opens at 5:30 a.m.  Buses will depart promptly at 6 a.m. and will transport riders to Wilderness Voyageurs in Ohiopyle.  Breakfast will be provided on the bus thanks to Panera Bread!
 
  • Rest stops will be provided at Cedar Creek Park (Mile 39) and at Boston Ballfield Park (Mile 57).  Trek of Pittsburgh will provide SAG support.
 
  • Back at the Heinz Field Quay, enjoy a Finish Line Festival along with a boxed lunch provided by Panera Bread! The Finish Line Festival will run from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m.  If you arrive after 4 p.m. you will still receive lunch, but you won't be able to enjoy other activities. We recommend that riders plan to maintain a 12-15 mph pace for this ride.
 
  • The fun doesn't have to stop when you leave the Finish Line Festival!  Head 0.3 miles down the trail to The Foundry Table & Tap for 3-2-1 Ride special pricing and 1 FREE BEER (Must be 21 or older)!  10% of your bill will be donated to The Woiner Foundation!


VIP Registration Details
 
  • Adults (Age 18 & older): $50- Transportation to Ohiopyle, breakfast, boxed lunch and parking included!
  • *Vegetarian and vegan options will be available for breakfast, lunch and snacks.
  • $500 fundraising minimum requirement. Your registration fee does not count towards this commitment. For every $50 raised you’ll receive a raffle ticket for the chance to win exciting prizes including bikes from Trek of Pittsburgh, Steelers autographed memorabilia and more! 
  • All VIP riders receive (total value more than $275!):
    • Swag bag with performance tech t-shirt and (2) 24 oz. water bottles
    • Limited Edition 3-2-1 Ride 5th Anniversary VIP Jersey by VIE13
    • Bontrager Race Windshell Jacket
    • 3-2-1 Ride VIP Bib Number

  • Children under 18 will not be permitted on this ride.
  • You must pre-register for this ride.  There will be no event-day registration.  Space is limited.  This ride will only be offered for our 5th Anniversary year!  As of 9/13/17 only 25 spots remain. 
  • 100% of rider raised funds go directly to melanoma and pancreatic cancer research, awareness and patient support!

VIP Ride Schedule*

5:30 a.m. - Check-in opens at Heinz Field
6 a.m. - Buses depart Heinz Field
7:30 a.m. - Buses arrive at Wilderness Voyageurs in Ohiopyle (Rest rooms, coffee cart, mechanical support available on site)
8 a.m. - Ride begins
2 p.m.- Arrival at Heinz Field for a rider averaging a 15 MPH pace, allowing 15 min. each at 2 rest stops
3 p.m.- Arrival at Heinz Field for a rider averaging a 12 MPH pace, allowing 15 min. each at 2 rest stops

VIP/Metric Century Rest Stop Hours*

9 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Rest Stop #1- Cedar Creek Park
10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.: Rest Stop #2- Boston Ballfield Park
12 p.m. - 4 p.m.: Finish Line at Heinz Field Quay
4 p.m. - Midnight: After Party at The Foundry Table & Tap

Event will go on rain or shine!  No refunds, please.  If you register and cannot attend, your entry fee will be accepted as a tax-deductible donation.
